Release Notes
The Main Squeeze Release Notes
What changed in each version of the mastering compressor, and what it means when you are working.
1.0.1
Released 3 October 2026
A maintenance release improving header accessibility and keyboard workflow.
- Header workflow. Undo, Redo, A/B, the preset strip, and the license status control are now keyboard-accessible, with a reliable Tab order through the header.
- Undo/Redo. Undo and Redo now correctly start disabled until there is something to undo or redo.
Parameters, presets, saved session data, and DSP identity are otherwise unchanged. Existing projects open normally.

1.0.0
Released 25 August 2026
The first release of The Main Squeeze, a feed-forward mastering compressor built around Contour — three release personalities that change how the compressor lets go, without changing how much it compresses.
- Contour. Transparent, Cohesive and Deep share one compression core and reshape release only; the compression curve and knee are identical in all three.
- Controls. Threshold, Ratio, Attack, Release, Makeup and Mix, plus a detector-only sidechain high-pass that keeps low end from over-triggering the compressor without filtering the audio itself.
- Workflow. A factory preset bank, user presets, A/B comparison between two full parameter snapshots, and undo/redo across every control.
